HOW THE PLACE WORKS!

Omställningslabbet is a free and open meeting place, prototype workshop and collaborative platform for anyone who wants to contribute to a more sustainable, inclusive and resilient city. Residents, associations, organisations and the City of Gothenburg meet here to share knowledge, test ideas and make things together.

Anyone can organise activities here free of charge.

WHAT HAPPENS REGULARLY?

BIKE KITCHEN
Repair your own bike with help from others.

REPAIR CAFÉ
Bring broken things and repair them together.

OPEN FORUM
Bring ideas, make decisions and propose how to use the monthly budget.

CO-COOKING
Cook, eat and connect with others.

OPEN HOUSE / NETWORK
Drop in, meet people and explore what’s happening at O-Lab. Work on your projects, meet others and make new connections.

JUST COME!

You don’t need to be invited. Come by, meet people, join an activity or work on your own project. You can also book a private tour by contacting the Place Hosts.

THE RULES THAT MAKE IT WORK

Our spaces, tools and resources are shared. Share, reuse and repair whenever possible. Take care of what you use and leave things ready for the next person.

JOIN THE CLEANING-PARTIES!
Clean up after yourself, wash what you use, put tools and furniture back and sort the trash. See something that needs doing? Feel free to help.

LAST TO LEAVE?
Follow the closing checklist posted by the exit.

THIS PLACE ISN’T A SERVICE TO CONSUME. IT’S A PLACE WE CREATE TOGETHER.

This place isn’t a service where someone does things only for you. People here can share knowledge, tools and support but you take part and do things yourself.

At the Bike Kitchen, for example, you repair your own bike, with help from others.

JOIN THE OPEN FORUMS

The Open Forum is our recurring open meeting where anyone can bring ideas and help shape O-Lab. You don’t need a meeting for every small decision but bigger questions about the space, shared resources and budget are discussed here.

You can also apply for funding from Omställningslabbets monthly budget to make an idea happen.

Find us in the middle of Göteborg

The adress is Södra Frihamnspiren 15, Gothenburg.

Co-cooking

Come cook, eat and connect with us!

Every other Thursdays, we cook a healthy, mostly vegan meal together using rescued, seasonal and local food whenever possible. Everyone is welcome, just bring yourself (and any food you’d like to use up!).

We aim to have co-cooking every two weeks on Thursdays roughly 16:30-19:00. Events are posted in the calendar and co-ordination is done within our WhatsApp groupchat.

Bicykle Kitchen

Learn how to repair your bike!

Our Bike Kitchen volunteers aim to keep the regular opening hours, but occasional closures may occur depending on volunteer availability. New volunteers are always welcome!

Open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 18.00-20.00.

Make and build together

The spacemaker is open for network, new friends and your work!

Bring your laptop, your project or just something you need to get done and come work alongside other folx. We have some tools to share too. Work on your own things, meet other people, exchange ideas, have a coffee or see what’s happening around the Lab.

Thursdays 16:00–19:00 Free and open for drop-in.
